Just like people can be traumatized, so too can organizations. Transforming Trauma not only notices how responses to trauma show up in organizational practices and processes, but how to change them. Although organizational trauma responses are wise in the short term, they can become harmful if they endure. To prevent a traumatized organization from becoming a traumatizing organization, Harris offers ways to improve relationships not only among people, but among parts of the organization.
