“Must Read Manga!” introduces manga recommended by Kanta Ishida, a top writer with The Yomiuri Shimbun who has been reading manga for about 60 years. In this second volume, Ishida discusses 50 works of manga, including “Kubo Ibuki” (Aircraft carrier Ibuki) and “Sangatsu no Lion” (March comes in like a lion). A veteran newspaper reporter, he digs deep into the worlds illustrated in these works, at times reflecting on modern society and seeing them from fresh, dynamic perspectives.
