Mit den hier veröffentlichten Meisterwerken KV 593 und 614 sind nun sämtliche Streichquintette Mozarts im Henle-Urtext erhältlich. Unsere Ausgabe korrigiert einige weit verbreitete falsche Lesarten des Notentexts und bezieht auch die Erstdrucke als wichtige Quellen mit ein. Das Finale des D-dur-Quintetts KV 593 weicht in der Erstausgabe stark vom Autograph ab. Die Herausgeber halten eine Autorisierung der Druckfassung für wahrscheinlich, weshalb der Satz in dieser Edition in beiden Fassungen wiedergegeben wird (zum besseren Vergleich in einer überlegten Ossia-Version). In Vorwort und Bemerkungen beleuchten die Herausgeber ausführlich die Quellensituation zu diesen beiden unsterblichen Werken aus Mozarts letzten beiden Lebensjahren._

With the publication of the masterpieces K. 593 and 614, all of Mozart's string quintets are now available in Henle Urtext. Our edition corrects several widespread misreadings of the musical text and also draws on the first printings as important sources.
The first printing of the Finale from the Quintet in D major K. 593 diverges greatly from the autograph. The editors consider it probable that the print version was authorized, which is the reason why we have published both versions of the movement (to enable a better comparison it is given as an ossia version above the musical text).
In the Preface and Comments the editors shed light on the source situation to these two immortal works written in the last two years of Mozart's life._

Avec les chefs-d'oeuvre K. 593 et 614 ici publiés, tous les quintettes à cordes de Mozart sont désormais disponibles en édition Urtext Henle. La présente édition rectifie un certain nombre de variantes erronées du texte, très répandues, ayant intégré même les premiers tirages en tant que sources importantes. Le finale du Quintette en Ré majeur K. 593 diffère considérablement de l'autographe dans la première édition. Les responsables éditoriaux tiennent pour vraisemblable l'autorisation de la version imprimée par le compositeur, le dernier mouvement étant donc reproduit selon les deux versions dans cette édition (version ossia superposée pour une meilleure comparaison).
Les éditeurs explicitent dans le détail, dans la préface et dans les Bemerkungen (remarques), la situation des sources de ces deux oeuvres impérissables composées par Mozart dans les deux dernières années de sa vie._
