This book explores the dynamics of implementation of the political and socio-economic agenda on building a 'Listening and Just State' during the first five-years of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's leadership (2019-2024) through the OECD Public Governance Review framework and public policy scholarship. Bringing together established and emerging scholars on Kazakhstan as well as experienced practitioners to present a critical analysis of public sector reforms implemented amid challenging political transition, this book will interest policymakers, government officials, scholars and students of governance, public administration, and Central Asia.
