This book is based on the international congress 'Ethical, Legal and Psychosocial Aspects of Transplantation. Global Challenges' (Rome, Italy, April 2016). The congress was attended by clinicians, ethicists, psychologists, philosophers, lawyers and policy makers in the field of organ transplantation.
The chapters address current issues in the field of transplantation ethics, psychology and law.
The topics:

- Cultural, religious and social aspects;

- Psychosocial aspects;
- Ethical and philosophical aspects;

The ELPAT platform aims to promote debate and research on ethical, legal and psychosocial aspects of organ transplantation. ELPAT is an official section within the European Society for Organ Transplantation (ESOT).
