Halldor Gudmundsson, 1956 in Reykjavik geboren, verbrachte einen Teil seiner Kindheit in Deutschland, studierte Literaturwissenschaft in Island und Kopenhagen und ist seit 1984 Verlagsleiter in Reykjavik. Er hat ein Buch, mehrere Aufsätze und ein Fernsehfeature über Halldor Laxness veröffentlicht.
