Für seine Ausstellung in der Serpentine Gallery entwickelt der Künstler eine neue ortsbezogene Installation und verwendet dabei eine Form, auf die er öfters zurückgreift: das Labyrinth. Pistolettos Schau zieht die Betrachter durch die Ausstellungsräume und führt sie auf verschlungenen Wegen zu verborgenen Installationen und Skulpturen. In Entsprechung zur Architektur der Serpentine Gallery und mit Hilfe sorgfältig eingesetzter Materialien wird die Ausstellung in die Wahrnehmung der Betrachter eingreifen und diese zu einem integralen Bestandteil des Werks selbst machen.

For his exhibition at the Serpentine Gallery, the artist creates a new, site-specific installation using a form that he often returns to: the labyrinth. Pistoletto s exhibition draws visitors through the galleries, leading them via a winding maze to hidden installations and sculptures. Responding to the architecture of the Serpentine galleries and using an economy of materials, the exhibition will manipulate visitors perceptions of space, making them an integral part of the work itself.
