Orlando, Floride, peut se considérer très privilégiée dinspirer une discussion sur la création et la recréation engendrant une récréation : en effet, la ville vit à lombre de Disney Corporation, dont les plus célèbres recréations sont basées sur des textes du dix-septième siècle français, et notamment les contes de Charles Perrault. De ce point de vue, que ce soit un feu dartifice extraordinaire au détour dun château princier, une histoire moralisante à en régaler enfants comme parents, ou encore une représentation théâtrale qui ressort de la magie, les trois cents ans qui séparent Orlando de Versailles semblent être anéantis devant le même résultat : les parallèles entre les dix-septième et vingt-et-unième siècles se fondent dans la perspective égale damuser tout en instruisant son monde.
