Die vorliegenden "48 Übungen für Oboe" Opus 31 sind Ferlings bedeutendste Studien. Der Erstdruck erschien um 1840 bei Chr. Bachmann in Hannover mit der Platten-Nr. 959. Für die Neuausgabe wurde der Notentext durchgesehen und den heutigen Erfordernissen in Bezug auf eine eindeutige Phrasierung und korrekte Vorzeichensetzung angepasst. The present "48 Exercises for oboe", opus 31, represent Ferling's most important studies. The first edition was published by Chr. Bachmann in Hannover around 1840 and had the plate number 959. In the compilation of the present edition the musical text has been revised and brought into line with present-day practice as regards unambiguous phrase markings and accidentals.
