This book was borne out of the author's passion and experience in ministering to two children (Elo and Peter) who had disabilities in the city of Port Harcourt, Nigeria. In this book, the author presents some probing questions and conceptual clarifications of disability in a practical, comprehensive and compelling manner. She extensively enunciates some critical African perspectives on the subject of disability, while looking at the types, causes and prevention of disabilities and other categories of disorders. The Book is rated high for its presentation of the Biblical and Theological Perspectives on Disability as well as Basis for Ministering to Persons with Disability. Ishola-Esan, Helen
Dr. Helen Ishola-Esan is an ordained Baptist Minister, Senior Lecturer and Dean of the Faculty of Education, NBTS Ogbomoso. She is currently studying for the Doctor of Transformational Leadership degree at Bakke Graduate University, Dallas, USA. She is married to Dr. Vincent Ishola Esan and they both have a set of triplets.
