The three parts (in two volumes) of this new edition are the results of continuous work on Ibadi Islam that was initiated in the early 1970s with visits to Mizab, Jerba, Tripolitania, and Cairo. The second volume not only contains publications directly related to Ibadism, but also on Jerba, the Jabal Nafusa, Mizab, the history of Oman, and Zanzibar.
