Description
Zwischen »Grundzügen eines jesuanischen Pazifismus« und »Eckpunkten eines (militärischen) Widerstandsrechtes« ist der thematische Bogen in diesem Sammelband gespannt. Flankiert wird dieser dringend notwendige Diskurs sowohl von kirchenhistorischen Recherchen zu »Bernhard von Clairvaux, Luther und den Folgen« als auch von kirchenpolitischen Einblickenin den »Stand evangelischer Friedensethik« nach dem Angriff Russlands auf die Ukraine und dem Hamas-Terroranschlag auf Israel. Vor diesem Hintergrund werden auch »Profile einer neuen Welt(friedens)ordnung« skizziert, die zum weiteren Nachdenken und zur Diskussion einladen.
Mit Beiträgen von Hans-Lothar Domröse, Anne Gidion und Patrrick Roger Schnabel, Wolfgang Koch, Friedrich Kramer, Rochus Leonhardt, Johannes Schilling, Thomas A. Seidel und Ellen Ueberschär sowie mit einer Predigt von Bernhard Felmberg.

The thematic arc of this anthology ranges from »fundamentals of a Jesuit pacifism« to »cornerstones of a (military) right of resistance«. This urgently needed discourse is flanked both by church-historical research on »Bernhard von Clairvaux, Luther and the consequences« and by church-political insights into the »state of Protestant peace ethics« following Russia's attack on Ukraine and the Hamas terrorist attack on Israel. Against this background, »profiles of a new world« are outlined with a view to the peace order, inviting further reflection and discussion.
