Higher Education in the Middle East witnessed significant changes since the establishment of education hubs in Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. This book introduces an overview of the major developments and partnerships in the Middle East with American and western universities in higher education through two papers: The first one came under the title: Qatar Education City: An Education Hub or Migration Magnet? An Analytical Critical Study. The second paper, accepted at The Fourth International Arab Conference on Quality Assurance in Higher Education (IACQA, 2014), Amman, Jordan, 1-3/4/2014, came under the title: Can Education Really Build Peace Bridges? A Critical Review of the American-Arab/ Muslim Partnerships in Higher Education. I wish those who are interested in higher education in the Middle East will enjoy the two papers and get an overview of its remarkable developments, successful partnerships and their consequences.
