To this selection of my sermons and addresses were given the last twenty years or so. Mostly they were delivered in parish churches in Ceredigion in my native Wales, though the last three date from my time as Anglican chaplain in Warsaw, Poland, a country which I have known and loved for many years. In my homeland of Wales there has been for at least three hundred years not only a considerable literature based upon the Bible, but also intermittent religious revivals which gave for many an insatiable thirst for the Scriptures and their teaching. My poor efforts nowhere compare with those of my forebears, but I hope that they may prove of some worth.
