Designing a controller for greater power grid is a very difficult and complicated task because programming of such system is very long. To overcome this problem this book provides the following solutions: HVAC-3HVDC, HVAC-2HVDC and HVAC-1HVDC parallel tie line are applied for synchronization of greater power grid. The synchronizing quality of HVAC-3HVDC parallel tie line is best for greater power grid. Combined application of FACTS and HVDC parallel tie line is also applied for interconnection and synchronization of greater power grid. This book also proves the synchronizing quality of HVAC-HVDC parallel tie line is good for power grid but different in different power grids. The synchronizing quality of HVAC-HVDC parallel tie line is high in thermal power grid as compare to the nuclear and hydro power grid.
