Ludwig Erik Aguilar is from the Philippines and did his MSc. & Ph.D. degrees in biomedical field at the Department of Bionanosystem Engineering, Jeonbuk National University, South Korea. He has a clinical background as he studied BS Nursing as an undergrad at Bulacan State University. His clinical and materials background gave him insights on how materials can be both safe and effective if used inside the body. He synthesizes and design nanobiomaterials for drug delivery applications and had published more than 20 academic papers in peer-reviewed journals. He worked as an Assistant Research Professor at JBNU and is now a Senior R&D Engineer at Novo Nordisk A/S .
