This textbook uses a problem-based approach for covering the topics in ophthalmology. Each new chapter begins with a general presentation of a patient scenario. This is followed by a flowchart of a medical work up leading to a specific diagnosis. With each specific diagnosis, the authors provide the readers with a classic presentation of that disease. Pertinent diagnostics tests, clinical symptoms, appearance and treatments are described, and the authors included recommendations based on the most receint clinical trials data.
