内容説明

As Japan faces rapid population decline, the sustainable growth of regional companies has become an increasingly important challenge. This book presents an empirical study of six companies based in Fukushima Prefecture―Arena Co., Ltd., Norin Co., Ltd., Kutsurogi Yado Co., Ltd., Honeys Holdings Co., Ltd., Daishichi Sake Brewery Co., Ltd., and Nippon Zenyaku Kogyo Co., Ltd.―that have expanded beyond their local markets while maintaining strong regional roots.

The authors describe such firms as “Zaichi-Chochi companies,” enterprises that remain embedded in their local communities while extending their activities beyond regional boundaries.

Through case analyses, the book examines how these companies leverage managerial resources, identify market opportunities, develop new markets, and build competitive advantages. It also explores how organizational structures and management practices evolve as companies expand beyond their original regional base.

Drawing on real corporate cases, this book offers valuable insights into the growth strategies of regional enterprises in contemporary Japan.
