パラッと見て、知識の確認にも語彙補充にも使えそうだったので購入。狙い通りの使い方ができたと思う。簡単な語彙で構成されたイディオムや慣用表現を130のショートダイアログで1つずつ紹介するという内容。パディントンシリーズで見たフレーズも多く、「ネイティブが中等教育までに身につけている」という点で確かに基本英会話フレーズなのだろうと納得。主要な前置詞などを取り上げたコラムや巻末の索引も充実している。特に索引は、コラム等でさらっと紹介されたフレーズも網羅していてチェックボックス付きなので読後の総復習に使えて良い。

会社をクビになったり、恋人から振られたり。妙にネガティブな文章が並んでいる。余計なものがないのは好感が持てるな。
