Full Description
This book focuses on advances in health and disease. Chapter 1 explores the integration of cutting-edge neurotechnologies—specifically brain-computer interfaces (BCIs), robotic systems, and virtual reality (VR)—into modern motor neurorehabilitation. In Chapter 2 the influence of different irrigation and fertilization regimes (organic and inorganic) on floral development, bioactive compound production, and bacterial growth inhibition of the 'Strawberry Blonde' cultivar of this species is evaluated. Chapter 3 describes the main neurobiological mechanisms triggered in neuroinflammatory processes and their relationship to affective disorders such as anxiety and MDD, focusing on reports of preclinical studies of the LPS-induced neuroinflammation model. Chapter 4 focuses on a review of the current psychological interventions for health anxiety disorders. Chapter 5 discusses the identification of anthelmintic activity in a small chemical library through random screening using the worm caenorhabditis elegans as a model helminth. Chapter 6 aims to evaluate the antiviral activity of the dichloromethane (DCM) fraction obtained from the crude extract of Bauhinia holophylla (Fabaceae: Cercidoideae) leaves. Chapter 7 outlines the medical treatment recommendations for heart failure as derived by the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation (ISHLT) and the Canadian Society of Cardiology.
