Voltaire's satirical novella, 'Candide', follows the naive young protagonist, raised under Dr. Pangloss's optimistic philosophy, believing he lives in 'the best of all possible worlds'. Abruptly expelled from his idyllic home, Candide embarks on a relentless series of harrowing adventures across Europe and South America.
