An aria - probably from the pen of J. S. Bach. According to some sources, however, the melody was composed by Gottfried Heinrich Stölzel. This arrangement written for four trombones / Tenorhorns (baritone horns) does not only offer a professional approach to the chorale but also the perfect opportunity for music students of different skill levels to work together in an ensemble.Instrumentation:4 trombones/tenor horns

Johann Sebastian Bach war Organist in Arnstadt, Mühlhausen und Weimar, außerdem Kapellmeister am Hof in Köthen und ab 1723 Thomaskantor in Leipzig. Sein umfangreiches Schaffen umfaßt Kirchenmusik, konzertante Orchestermusik, Kammermusik, Orgel- und Klaviermusik und weltliche Kantaten. Johann Sebastian Bach stammte aus einer großen Musikerfamilie und war der bedeutendste Komponist des Barock.
