Der renommierte kroatische Cellist Valter Despalj (geb. 1947) ist Professor an der Musikakademie Zagreb, Herausgeber und Arrangeur von Cello-Musik und Jurymitglied bei internationalen Wettbewerben. Als Solist trat er in den weltweit wichtigsten Konzertsälen auf und hat mit vielen berühmten Musikern zusammengearbeitet. Was ihn absetzt von einem "normalen" Konzert-Cellisten ist sein großes Interesse und seine Faszination für die Gitarre. Inzwischen ist er so vertraut mit dem Instrument, dass er sich an die Transkriptionen von Bachs Cello-Suiten für die Gitarre gewagt hat. Die begeisterte Reaktion von John Williams und anderen Gitarristen hat ihn dazu veranlasst, dieses Projekt mit den Sonaten und Partiten für Violine und der Flöten-Partita abzuschließen.Schwierigkeitsgrad: 3-4

Internationally renowned Croatian cellist Valter Despalj (1947) is professor at the Zagreb Academy of Music, editor and arranger of cello music with major music publishers, and jury member at the most prestigious international competitions. As a soloist he has performed in the world's foremost concert halls and has collaborated with many famous musicians. What sets him somewhat apart from a "normal" concert Cellist is his great interest and fascination with the guitar. He has transcribed enough duo Repertoire for Cello and guitar to fill several Recital programmes and has played many concerts with well known guitarists. Over the years he became so familiar with the Instrument that he ventured into transcribing Bach's Cello Suites for the guitar. The enthusiastic Response from other guitarist friends prompted him to complete this Project with the Sonatas and Partitas for violin and the Flute Partita.Instrumentation:guitarBWV 1001-1006
