Ignaz Pleyel, Komponist, Klavierbauer und Verleger, bescherte der Musikwelt schon zu Lebzeiten eine schier unüberschaubare Menge an veröffentlichten Kompositionen, teils auch noch in zahlreichen Bearbeitungen. Im Repertoire geblieben sind davon heute vor allem Werke für kleiner besetzte Kammermusik. Einige Duos für Violine etwa behaupten unter Liebhabern und im Unterricht ihren festen Platz, darunter besonders die "Kleinen Duos in aufsteigender Schwierigkeit", die 1806 (laut Titelblatt!) "auf Drängen mehrerer Professoren" im Druck erschienen. Der G. Henle Verlag legt diese leichten Spielstücke nun erstmals in einer Urtextausgabe vor - und zwar in Partitur und zwei Einzelstimmen, zum optimalen Einsatz bei jeder Gelegenheit.

During his lifetime, composer, piano manufacturer, and publisher Ignaz Pleyel bestowed upon the world of music an almost unimaginable number of published compositions, some of them in multiple arrangements, too. Of those, what has remained in the repertoire today are primarily works for small chamber ensembles. Several violin duos, for instance, have maintained their place among enthusiasts and students, among them in particular the "Little Duos in Increasing Difficulty," which appeared in print in 1806 "at the urging of several teachers" (according to the title page!). Now for the first time, G. Henle Publishers presents these light performance pieces in an Urtext edition - both in full score and as two individual parts to optimise use for any occasion.

Ignaz Pleyel, compositeur, facteur de pianos et éditeur, offrit déjà de son vivant au monde musical une quantité presque incalculable de pièces publiées, dont certaines, en outre, firent également l'objet de nombreux arrangements. Parmi elles, ne sont essentiellement restées au répertoire jusqu'à nos jours que les oeuvres de musique de chambre pour petites formations. Quelques duos pour violon pourtant tenaient bonne place chez les mélomanes ainsi que dans les leçons de musique, et tel était en particulier le cas de ces «Petits duos de difficulté croissante», censés avoir été imprimés et publiés en 1806 (si l'on en croit la page de titre!) «à la demande pressante de plusieurs professeurs». Les Éditions G. Henle présentent ici pour la première fois ces pièces faciles en édition urtext - et, de plus, sous forme de partition accompagnée de deux parties séparées, permettant de les utiliser en toute occasion.
