Description
The Trio in G major / E minor op. 103 by the Oppenheim composer and pupil of Max Reger can be assigned to the composer's late work due to the opus number, even though no year of composition or premiere can be determined. The work for the unusual instrumentation of clarinet, horn and piano presented the editor Wolfgang Birtel with the challenge of developing an authentic musical text from the original, which is riddled with errors. As there are no other sources for this work, Birtel was greatly benefited by the practical experience of working with the Else Ensemble. The present edition of this trio makes another charming chamber music work by this late Romantic composer accessible. Instrumentation:clarinet, horn and pianoop. 103 I Heiter beschwingt - II Langsam - III Ziemlich bewegt
