Die 1896 komponierte Tremolo-Etüde "Recuerdos de la Alhambra" ist zweifellos das bekannteste Stück des spanischen Komponisten und Gitarristen Francisco Tárrega, ruft es doch (Urlaubs-) Erinnerungen an die maurische, auf einem Hügel im spanischen Granada gelegene Stadtburg wach. Die bezaubernde, leicht melancholisch angehauchte Melodik - möglicherweise von Georges Bizets "Je crois entendre encore" aus den "Perlenfischern" inspiriert - empfiehlt das Stück auch fürs Musizieren mit vier Celli.Schwierigkeitsgrad: 2-3

The tremolo study 'Recuerdos de la Alhambra' composed in 1896 is, without doubt, the most famous piece by the Spanish composer and guitarist Francisco Tárrega, bringing back memories of the fortified Moorish palace situated on a hill in the Spanish city of Granada. The charming, slightly melancholy melody - perhaps inspired by Georges Bizet's 'Je crois entendre encore' from 'The Pearl Fishers' - makes it ideal for performing with other melodic instruments and piano.Instrumentation:4 cellos
