Full Description
This atlas provides more than 800 exquisite images of inner ear anatomy and pathology with concise text descriptions. It fully demonstrates the gross anatomical structure of the bony labyrinth and membranous labyrinth in the inner ear, the microscopic structures of the inner ear under optical microscope, and the ultrastructures of the inner ear under an electron microscope.
In addition to demonstrates the standard images of the anatomical structure and histomorphological characteristics of the cochlear and vestibular sensory organs, this atlas also shows evidence of a series of primary and secondary pathological changes in sensory hair cells and peripheral neurons of the inner ear caused by various damaging factors, and uses images and image legends to share some new scientific discoveries and new academic viewpoints with readers.
The inner ear pathology images and image explanations contained in this atlas are based on facts, explaining the causes, pathological processes, pathological mechanisms, and outcomes and prognosis of various inner ear damage diseases. It makes those pathological changes that are difficult to detect and imagine occurring in the inner ear cavity clearly presented to the readers.
