The volumes result from the 10th International Photosynthesis Congress, which was held in Montpellier, France, in August 1995 and brought together over 1400 scientists from all over the world. The congress, by far the largest in the series of International Photosynthesis Congresses, realized a truly complete thematic and geographical coverage.
