Full Description
The goal of this book is to assist field veterinarians in implementing interventional strategies for the prevention and control of parasitic zoonoses in livestock and their rearers from socioeconomically disadvantaged communities. This will be achieved by providing training and imparting knowledge on appropriate, low-cost approaches to improve productivity in dairy animal, sheep, and goat farming. The book also covers more costly techniques such as supplementary feeding and intensive rearing, which can be used for planning, implementing, and monitoring livestock programs. It is important for service providers to educate farmers about the additional costs and labor required for these more intensive farming methods.
