"This workbook accompanies the textbook 'Institutional economics and economic organisation theory: an integrated approach'. It has the same structure as the textbook. For every chapter, it provides questions and exercises to become more acquainted with the theories introduced in the textbook. It features a rich variety of applications to show how the concepts can be used in real-world contexts. Problem solving techniques are explained and used in concrete examples. Dr. Louis H.G. Slangen is Associate Professor of Agricultural Economics and Rural Policy at Wageningen University. His teaching, research and supervising MSc and PhD theses are in the field of resource economics, economics of land-use, new institutional economics and economic organisation theory. His publication record consists of about 30 articles in refereed journals, 15 chapters in books, and 10 books. He has a long and extensive experience in various types of research projects for various Dutch Ministries and the European Union.
Pieter W. Heringa is student assistant for a course on institutional economics and economic organisation theory at Wageningen University. Institutional economics is one of his focal points. He assisted in various courses and research projects both within and outside Wageningen University. He is currently involved in research on the economic impact of multifunctional agriculture."
