The Future of the Defence Firm brings together for first time analysis by an international team of experts of the changes facing defence companies in Europe, North America and S.E.Asia. The fundamental influences which will shape the future of defence companies after the end of the Cold War are identified and their implications for defence firms assessed. The chapters are based on a NATO Advanced Research Workshop held in Winnipeg in May 1992 in which experts from across the region reflected the viewpoints of academics, industrialists and administrators. The book is aimed at academics, industrialists and government officials concerned with the efficient procurement of defence equipment and the implications for a major industrial sector in a time of significant and continuing change and uncertainty.
