Mongols from the West offers an original and much-needed look at the role played by the Iberian kingdoms in the processes of Eurasian integration during the 13th and 14th c. when the Mongol Empire reconfigured the political, economic, and cultural map of the continent. This volume aims to bring the history of the Iberian Peninsula closer to global debates on the impact of the Mongol Empire and invite Iberian and Latin American historiographies to rethink narratives in an intercontinental key.
