Full Description
Between 1957 and 1960, Giovanni Michelucci, already involved in other important projects such as the church of San Giovanni Battista, known to most as the "church of the Autostrada del Sole", or the buildings for the University of Bologna, created a minor but no less significant work in Ferrara. The covered market hall in Ferrara, a Franciscan project, made up of simple elements and characterized by a marked morphological and structural sincerity, is in reality a complex object that operates on a city scale: a "forum" that gives the compact fabric of Ferrara a covered multi-purpose square capable of transforming itself over time. This book narrates and analyses it.
