Babyn Yar: Vergangenheit, Gegenwart, Zukunft fasst die Forschungs- und Gedenkbemühungen des Babyn Yar Holocaust Memorial Center seit seiner Gründung im Jahr 2016 zusammen. Das Babyn Yar Holocaust Memorial Center widmet sich der Erfassung, Erforschung, Verbreitung und Bewahrung der Geschichte von Babyn Yar, einer Schlucht in Kiew, in der in den letzten Septembertagen des Jahres 1941 die nationalsozialistischen Besatzungstruppen 33.771 Juden erschossen und wo in den folgenden zwei Jahren fast 70.000 weitere Menschen getötet wurden. Das von Nick Axel und Nicholas Korody herausgegebene Buch enthält einen historischen Überblick über diese Ereignisse sowie Archivbilder, die vom Babyn Yar Holocaust Memorial Center und anderen Organisationen in Ukraine und darüber hinaus gesammelt wurden. Ein Projekt des Babyn Yar Holocaust Memorial Center zum 80.Jahrestag des Massakers in Babyn Yar.--Babyn Yar: Past, Present, Future collects together the research and memorialization efforts of the BabynYar Holocaust Memorial Center since its founding in 2016. The Babyn Yar Holocaust Memorial Center is dedicated to aquiring, studying, disseminating and preserving the history of Babyn Yar, a ravine in Kyiv where in the last days of September in 1941, occupying Nazi forces shot 33,771 Jews in what is known today as the "holocaust by bullets," and where over the following two years nearly 70,000 more people where killed. Edited by Nick Axel and Nicholas Korody, the book includes a historical overview of these events together with archival imagery collected by the foundation and other organizations in Ukraine and beyond.A project of the Babyn Yar Holocaust Memorial Center, published to mark the eightieth anniversary of the massacre at Babyn Yar.
