Wo fängt das Universum an, wo hört es auf? Sich diese Dimensionen vorzustellen, ist keine leichte Übung. Trotzdem versucht das fortytwomagazine es in dieser Ausgabe, denn das Weltall bietet nicht nur Platz für Spekulationen über außerirdisches Leben oder romantische Träumereien beim Blick in den Sternenhimmel. Auch wenn es sich weit entfernt anfühlt, hat es direkten Einfluss auf unser Leben. Wie in jeder Ausgabe beleuchten sie außerdem auch dieses Mal zehn verschiedene Disziplinen und somit zehn Perspektiven. So beschäftigt sich das Magazin unter Anderem mit der Problematik des Weltraummülls, der Rolle staatlicher Weltraumorganisationen und man fragt sich wie es ist, rund 400 Kilometer über der Erde zu leben und den Alltag in der Internationalen Raumstation ISS auf engstem Raum zu meistern.Für diese fünfte Ausgabe hat sich das fortytwo-Team aber nicht nur inhaltlich ins All gewagt, auch hier auf der Erde wurde Neuland betreten: fortytwomagazine wird nun von Slanted Publishers vertrieben, die auch für das neue Design des Magazins verantwortlich zeichnen.

Where does the universe begin, where does it end? Imagining these dimensions is no easy task. However, the fortytwomagazine tries to figure that out, because the universe does not only offer place for speculations about extraterrestrial life or romantic dreams with the view into the starlit sky. Even if it feels far away, it has a direct influence on our lives. As in every issue, they also illuminate ten different disciplines and thus ten perspectives. Among other things, the magazine deals with the problem of space debris, the role of government space agencies and the question of what it is like to live some 400 kilometers above the earth and to master everyday life in the International Space Station ISS in the most confined space.For this fifth issue, the fortytwo-team has not only ventured into space in terms of content, but has also broken new ground here on Earth: fortytwomagazine is now distributed by Slanted Publishers, which is also responsible for the issue's new design.
