"You'll Never Work Alone: Collective Infrastructures in Moving Images" zeigt die Möglichkeiten und Herausforderungen kollektiver filmischer und künstlerischer Arbeit auf, indem internationale und lokale Perspektiven von Akademiker:innen und Praktiker:innen vorgestellt werden. Durch die Verknüpfung von Praxisbeispielen und filmtheoretischen Ansätzen aus Jakarta, Athen, Rom, Paris, Madrid und Wien wollen wir einen Ideenaustausch über kollektive Produktionsweisen anstoßen. Die Publikation versammelt weiterführende Lektüre und Antworten im Zusammenhang mit der Veranstaltungsreihe "Collective Infrastructures", die 2019 von der Golden Pixel Cooperative (GPC) ausgerichtet wurde. Bei der Kuratierung der Reihe griff die GPC Judith Butlers Idee auf, Kollektivität als Infrastruktur zu betrachten. Der Fokus liegt auf der spezifischen Infrastruktur - sozial, materiell, visionär - einer kollektiven Vereinigung, die sich durch die Praxis einer Gemeinschaft entwickelt hat oder entwickeln könnte.

"You'll Never Work Alone: Collective Infrastructures in Moving Images" demonstrates the possibilities and challenges inherent in collective cinematic and artistic work by presenting international and local perspectives from academics and practitioners. By linking practical examples and film theory approaches from Jakarta, Athens, Rome, Paris, Madrid, and Vienna, we aim to initiate an exchange of ideas on collective modes of production. The publication gathers together further reading and responses related to the event series "Collective Infrastructures," hosted by the Golden Pixel Cooperative (GPC) in 2019. In curating the series, the GPC borrowed Judith Butler's idea of considering collectivity as infrastructure. The focus lies on the specific infrastructure-social, material, visionary-of a collective association that has evolved or could evolve together through a community's practice.
