The great theme of the Book of Joshua is "Israel and the Land." This book narrates how the people Israel entered the Promised Land, and how they formed the topography according to the ordinances of the Torah, through deeds and the fabrication of monuments.This study of culture and space opens new perspectives: a narrative and memorial countryside is established in the Book of Joshua, which becomes a map of Israel's identity.
