Do we only see what we want to see?Two international travellers, Felicitas Hoppe and Indra Wussow, discuss thestresses and strains of travel and the joy of the journey. Exploringjourneying through familiar and foreign landscapes, they ask illuminatingquestions about our longing for paradise and the limits and possibilities ofcultural appropriation. Inevitably the conversation turns towards enforcedsettling and retreating during the time of Corona.These musings are flanked by a series of paintings by South African artist,Jaco van Schalkwyk, called Homage to my fellow Travellers. An additionallayer of meaning is also added by a sound installation by well-known SouthAfrican composer and pianist, Jill Richards.

Felicitas Hoppe, geboren 1960 ist freie Schriftstellerin und Verfassung zahlreicher Romane, Erzählungen, Essays und Kinderbücher. Trägerin des Georg Büchner Preises und des Großen Preises des Literaturfonds. Zuletzt erschienen: Prawda. Eine amerikanische Reise. Sie lebt in Berlin und Leuk (Schweiz).Indra Wussow, geboren 1966, studierte Literaturwissenschaften und Psychologie. Gründerin der Sylt Foundation. Kuratorin, Übersetzerin, Autorin und Herausgeberin von AfrikAWunderhorn, einer Reihe zeitgenössischer afrikanischer Literatur im Wunderhorn Verlag. Sie lebt in Johannesburg (Südafrika).
