Description
The present volume pays tribute to seven decades of artistic creation. Erwin Bechtold's oeuvre unfolds in a presentation independent of chronology and oriented towards the artistic statement: early Informel works accompany his constructive, geometrically arranged paintings, which all share the principle of disruption. Tension and irritation also characterise his more recent works, in which Bechtold combines gestural-drawing and rational-geometric elements.
