Das aussergewöhnliche Zürcher Architekturbüro pool ist aus einem städtebaulichen Diskussionsforum junger Architekten hervorgegangen. Dieser 'pool' führte die acht Partner zusammen, die sich in den letzten zehn Jahren mit ihrer interdisziplinären und undogmatischen Architekturproduktion einen Namen gemacht haben. Durch die besondere Organisationsstruktur, die - mit Bezug auf historische Entwurfskollektive - in der Gruppe erarbeitete Lösungen sucht, unterscheidet sich pool von anderen Büros. Entwicklungskonzepte, Bauten und Projekte des Teams werden in diesem Werkbericht erstmals umfassend vorgestellt. Geordnet nach den Themenfeldern 'Strukturen', 'Wohnungen' und 'Planungen' kommen ebenso die grossen Siedlungsbauten in Zürich Leimbach und Affoltern wie die bisher weniger bekannten Planungsprojekte und Strukturexperimente zur Sprache.
