Description
It is hard to believe that Schubert's piano sonatas, now standard repertoire of today's piano literature, had been overshadowed by the all-powerful Beethoven for a long time. Volume 1 is now available in an edition revised by him.Besetzung:piano The Wiener Urtext Edition presents the first critical edition of all of Franz Schubert's piano sonatas in chronological order in three volumes. The newly revised musical text, based on the sources, is accompanied by explanatory notes on the history of the work, information on Schubert's instrument and piano writing as well as on stylistic interpretation.
