A comparative investigation of developmental differences of children raised in orphanages, adoptive and biological families in selected homes in Lusaka, Zambia. The focus of the investigation was on cognitive competence, physical development and social emotional development specifically attachment. The study also examined the kinds of stimulation that the orphanage and the homes offered to the children.

Chansa-Kabali, TamaraTamara Chansa-Kabali was born in Zambia and is a lecturer and researcher at the university of Zambia, Psychology Department. Her research interests are in the field of developmental Psychology in which she holds a Masters degree. Her special research interests are in Attachment, Cognition, literacy and cultural apects in developmental psychology.
