Wie kann Bildung außerhalb von Bildungsinstitutionen gedacht werden? Nicht nur das Wissen eines Menschen, sondern auch kognitive und affektive Eigenschaften sowie moralisches und ästhetisches Empfinden sind das Resultat von Bildungsprozessen. Entsprechend befasst sich der Autor systematisch mit den Erfahrungsfeldern und Erlebnissen, welche die Bildung einer Person bestimmen können. In dieser Betrachtungsweise werden bisher vernachlässigte Bildungsbereiche, wie Technik, Ökonomie und Recht mit einbezogen und diskutiert.

How can education be thought outside of educational institutions? Not only a person's knowledge, but also cognitive and affective qualities, as well as moral and aesthetic perception are the result of educational processes. Accordingly, the author deals systematically with the fields of experience and that can determine a person's education. Previously neglected areas of education such as technology, economics and law are inspected.
