Many themes observed locally in RE research also deserve international attention and exchange. This book offers insights into international knowledge transfer processes in RE teacher education. Learning from International Knowledge Transfer - Highly needed in RE Teacher Education International knowledge transfer in religious education (RE) is still a fairly new topic. Many scholars in the field consider this discussion of prime importance for the future of both the academic discipline of religious education and the related school subject RE. This book continues this discussion and specifies it in the direction of teacher education. Its focus is on the challenges that teacher students and their trainers are facing in the light of RE in a pluralized and detraditionalized society. The impact of these challenges on RE research is obvious. However, international exchange of research results for purposes of comparison and mutual enrichment is still rare. This book provides insights that can encourage and facilitate this exchange. Dr. Fahimah Ulfat ist Professorin für Islamische Religionspädagogik und Fachdidaktik am Zentrum für Islamische Theologie der Universität Münster. Sie leitet dort die Islamisch-Religionspädagogische Forschungsstelle und ist Co-Leiterin der Jüdisch-Islamischen Forschungsstelle (JIF) in Tübingen. Dr. theol. Jasmine Hieronymi-Suhner ist Dozentin für Religionspädagogik und Pädagogische Psychologie am Religionspädagogischen Institut der Universität Luzern. Dr. Martin Rothgangel ist Professor für Religionspädagogik an der Evangelisch-Theologischen Fakultät der Universität Wien. Dr. Jenny Berglund is Professor of Religious Education at the Department of Teaching and Learning of Stockholm University. Dr. Bert Roebben is Professor of Religious Education at the Faculty of Catholic Theology of the University of Bonn. Dr. Friedrich Schweitzer ist Seniorprofessor für Religionspädagogik an der Evangelisch-Theologischen Fakultät der Universität Tübingen. Dr. Peter Schreiner is former director of the Comenius Institute, Protestant Center for Research and Development of Education.
