Der Band widmet sich aus der Sicht ausgewählter Disziplinen (Religionswissenschaft, Soziologie, Politikwissenschaft, Theologie, katholische und islamische Religionspädagogik usw.) und Vertretern sowie ExpertInnen der monotheistischen Religionen (Christentum, Islam, Judentum) einem Phänomen, das die Gesellschaften Europas nachhaltig verändert: der internationalen Migration und deren Auswirkungen auf sozioreligiöse Transformationsprozesse in religiösen Gemeinschaften. Theoretische Zugänge und praktisch-empirische Berichte bieten einen repräsentativen Einblick in die aktuelle Forschung.

This anthology addresses a phenomenon from the viewpoint of selected disciplines (science of religion, sociology, political sciences, theology, Catholic and Islamic religious education), and representatives together with experts of the monotheistic religions (Christianity, Islam, Judaism) that changes the European societies permanently: international Migration and their effects on the socio-religious processes of transformation in religious communities. Theoretical approaches and practical empiric reports provide an representative inside into the contemporary research.

Dr. Ednan Aslan ist Professor für islamische Religionspädagogik am Institut für Islamisch-Theologische Studien an der Universität Wien.Martin Baumann has been professor of Religious Studies at the Faculty of Cultural and Social Sciences since 2001 and prorector for research at the University of Luzern since 2010. He teaches and investigates the fields of migration, religion and social integration; controversies and coexistence in religious pluralism; Diaspora Studies; Hindu and Buddhist traditions in the West. His most recent publication in co-authorship is "Integrationspotenziale von Religion und Zivilgesellschaft", Baden-Baden 2016.
