Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) is an urgent need to conduct sound environmental projects. The Dhaka City of Bangladesh is one of the fastest growing city in the world. The need for an EIA of Eastern Bypass of the city beyond description. Since, the area comprises of about 5 million people in 124 sq km area. This book contains the assessment of environmental as well as social, economic and topographic impacts of the Eastern Bypass of Dhaka City. It also includes some mitigation measures for negative impacts of the project and suggests a guideline for monitoring of the project in different stages.
