The HIV epidemic is a new, complex challenge in the world today. AIDS is not simply a health issue but a general development concern above all else. It is a social and economic threat in countries where it is rampant. Its health impact is revealed in its association with morbidity and mortality. The increasing number of people, mostly healthy productive young men and women dying daily is causing concern. This book addresses the challenges of HIV and AIDS epidemic.
