This book is originated from a pioneering study of adolescent social networks and their sexual practices in eastern Africa, Ethiopia. The book is a breakthrough in terms of applying mixed methods research (MMR) in the study of social network analysis. The book uses first hand data to test theories and models related to social network analysis and human behavior. It contributes to the development of the third wave in research paradigm, mixing the quantitative and qualitative research methods. It contributes to a greater extent for social work educators, researchers and practitioners who are interested to apply social network approach to understand adolescent reproductive health and promote the wellbeing of young people. Wassie Kebede teaches in Addis Ababa University and is a visitingprofessor at Gondar University. His research areas includeadolescent reproductive health, HIV/AIDS and family income usingsocial network analysis. His interest in social network analysisfocuses on study of egocentric network. He is the secretary of ASSWA.
