Description
(Text)
Structural damages during recent earthquakes demonstrate the need for developing a comprehensive model for earthquake risk assessment that is capable of integrating the ample knowledge in the engineering field into a software tool for predicting the earthquake performance of a group of structures or of an individual structure. GIS-based framework integrated with software tools provide necessary functionality and is easy to use in developing countries where technical skills and resources are limited.
