As the little whale grows up, he goes on his first long journey north to Norway before returning to his homeland, and then even starts a family of his own in the maritime area off of the island Sylt.This unusual picture book with its large-scale illustrations introduces us to these special and, sadly, endangered marine animals. We learn a lot about their habitat, mating. Claudia H. M. Hangen studierte u. a. in München und Paris Soziologie und Politik. Nach ihrer Promotion arbeitete sie als freie Autorin für Hörfunk- und Printmedien und als Lektorin für Sachbücher. Zum Thema Schweinswale hat sie schon vielfach publiziert. Alessa Dostal, 1983 in Hamburg geboren, studierte Illustration an der HAW Hamburg. Bekannt wurde sie durch ihr Kochkunstbuch Ziege mit Himbeere, 2014 erschienen bei Freies Geistesleben. Heute lebt Alessa Dostal in Hamburg.
